We received this email from a customer with four cats recently…

“Dear Caboodle Company,

I just wanted to let you know that my cats fight over your product! Well, they don’t really fight over it but they play in it all the time quite aggresively. Frankie, the alpha male, perches on top and doesn’t let let the others up – it’s very funny to watch. I guess the cardboard design gets them all fired up.”

I just returned from our manufacturer’s assembly plant to oversee quality of our latest order. After looking around the massive facility that was mostly dormant, I asked the manager how things were going with respect to the economy. He looked around at very little staff and idle machines and said it’s been very slow, then looked to Caboodle’s busy corner and said, “At least we got Caboodle.”

That warm and fuzzy feeling came over me, not too unlike holding a new kitten, and I took a second to feel good about our decision to produce Caboodle in the United Sates and locally.

On my way out, couple friendly workers help load samples into my car and we got into a quick conversation that revealed one had three kids and the other four! The warm and fuzzy feeling quickly turned to butterflies as I realized first hand difficult time are for so many americans.

Sitting back at my desk and knowing that our homegrown venture in producing sustainable pet products is helping put food on my neighbors table – that warm and fuzzy feeling is back!
